PP plate is a semi crystalline material. It is harder than PE and has a higher melting point. Because the PP temperature of the homopolymer is more brittle than above 0 degrees C, many commercial PP materials are irregular copolymers with 1~4% ethylene or a higher ratio of ethylene content of the pliers. Copolymer PP materials have lower thermal twist temperature (100 C), low transparency, low gloss, low rigidity, but have stronger impact strength. The strength of PP increases with the increase of ethylene content. The softening temperature of VEKA in PP is 150 C. Because of the high crystallinity, the surface stiffness and scratch resistance of the material are very good. There is no environmental stress cracking in PP. In general, PP is modified by adding glass fiber, metal additive or thermoplastic rubber. The flow rate of PP is MFR in the range of 1~40. Low MFR PP materials have better impact resistance but lower ductility. For materials with the same MFR, the strength of copolymer type is higher than that of homopolymer. Because of the crystallization, the shrinkage of PP is quite high, generally 1.8~2.5%. And the direction uniformity of shrinkage rate is much better than that of PE-HD and other materials. Adding 30% of glass additives can reduce the shrinkage to 0.7%. Homopolymer and copolymer PP materials have excellent moisture resistance, acid and alkali resistance and solubility. However, it has no resistance to aromatic hydrocarbon (benzene) solvents, chlorinated hydrocarbons (carbon tetrachloride) solvents, etc. PP also has no oxidation resistance at high temperature, unlike PE. PP board is widely used in chemical containers, machinery, electronics, electrical appliances, food packaging, medicine, decoration and water treatment and other fields. The practical temperature of the PP board is up to 100 degrees.

The PE board has excellent resistance to most living and industrial chemicals. Certain chemicals produce chemical corrosion, such as corrosive oxidants (concentrated nitric acid), aromatic hydrocarbons (xylene) and halogenated hydrocarbons (carbon tetrachloride). The polymer is non absorbent and has good water vapor resistance and can be used for packaging purposes. HDPE has excellent electrical properties, especially its high dielectric strength, making it suitable for wire and cable. The middle to high molecular weight class has excellent impact resistance, at room temperature and even at low -40F temperature. The unique characteristic of HDPE of various grades is the proper combination of four basic variables: density, molecular weight, molecular weight distribution and additives. Different catalysts are used to produce customized special performance polymers. These variables combine to produce HDPE grades of different uses and achieve the best balance in performance. It has good chemical stability and can resist most acids, alkalis, organic solvents and hot water erosion. Electrical insulation is good.
